Call for Papers

Conference

The Southeastern Section of ASEE has a long-standing tradition of fantastic conferences open to everyone interested in improving the engineering education experience. Participants include faculty, students, department chairs, college deans, and industry leaders in engineering, engineering technology, and computing education. Join a community of your colleagues from throughout the region, see familiar faces, learn new ways to engage engineering students, and participate through roundtable discussions and workshop activities.

Paper Topics

Authors, please follow the guidelines posted for abstracts and draft papers submitted to the conference. In addition to those guidelines, please propose the division(s) that you believe is the best fit for your paper by including the division under the text of your abstract (there is not a separate space for this information).

NOTE: Authors do not have to be members of ASEE to submit an abstract but they must create an account. Use this link, https://nemo.asee.org, to create an account.

Please choose from the following divisions (and you may choose more than one):

  • Administrative
  • Chemical and Bio Engineering
  • Civil and Environmental Engineering
  • Educational Research and Methods
  • Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Engineering Graphics
  • Engineering Technology
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Instructional
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Pre-College Engineering Education
  • Professional Skills
  • Undergraduate Research and Design

Important Information for Authors

One of the goals of ASEE is to advance the development of innovative approaches and solutions to engineering education. Therefore, papers submitted to the conference should focus on engineering education or pedagogy. The conference is not an appropriate forum for technical research. The Conference Planning Committee requests that full-length papers be between 6 and 10 pages and Work-in-Progress (WIP) papers be between 3 and 4 pages, exclusive of references and biographical information. Authors are expected to present their papers at the conference to facilitate knowledge transfer through discussion and debate.

Other Conference Events

Roundtables, workshops, panel discussions, and an undergraduate student poster competition are also planned. Announcements for these events will be emailed and posted on the Section’s website.
